Upcoming Police Training Exercise - April 22 & 23, 2025
Upcoming Police Training Exercise: Please be advised that the Sandusky Police Department will be conducting important training exercises at Sandusky Intermediate and Sandusky High School on Tuesday, April 22nd, and Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025. During these times, you may observe increased activity and simulated scenarios occurring inside and around the school buildings. This will involve a greater presence of public safety personnel in the area. This training is a proactive measure to enhance the preparedness of our local law enforcement.

Additionally, as a reminder, our schools routinely conduct practice drills for various situations throughout the year, such as tornadoes, fires, and lockdowns. As part of our comprehensive safety measures, we also conduct periodic safety checks in our schools, which may include random searches conducted with the support of local law enforcement. These checks are one of the ways we work closely with our community partners, including the Sandusky Police and Fire Departments, to regularly review and enhance our safety procedures to ensure their effectiveness in the event of an emergency.

We deeply value our strong partnership with the Sandusky Police and Fire Departments, who are active members of our safety committee and consistently provide invaluable assistance in maintaining the safety of our schools. Our overarching goal is to foster a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. We believe that through our collaborative community efforts, we can continue to provide an exceptional education for our students.
